Creating an FCC user account will allow you to log into the National Broadband Map to:
- view, manage, and track the status of any challenges you submitted via the map,
- withdraw a challenge or take other actions related to it,
- use the API to access the public data available from the map.
When creating an account, you must enter the same email address that you entered when you submitted the challenge on the National Broadband Map in order to see the information about those challenges. For more information on using the BDC Public Data API, please see https://us-fcc.box.com/v/bdc-public-data-api-spec. To create an account, go to the National Broadband Map at https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov and click “Sign In” at the top right corner of the screen.

Logging In
You will then be taken to the login screen shown below, where you can sign in to the BDC portal with a username and password you created in the FCC User Registration System. If you do not have an FCC username and password, click the “Create an account” link in the lower right corner of the box.
Creating an Account
If you click, “Create an account,” you will be taken to the FCC User Registration System Create New Account page at https://apps2.fcc.gov/fccUserReg/pages/createAccount.htm (see below). Here, you must create a Username, where the username is an email address. To view challenges you submitted in the past, you must enter the same email address that you entered when you submitted the challenge on the National Broadband Map.
Complete the form and then click the “Create Account” button at the bottom right of the page.
